Overview

Designs the structural organization, navigation, and findability of documentation systems by applying information architecture principles including the Diátaxis framework (tutorials, how-to, reference, explanation), controlled vocabularies, and site mapping techniques.

Deliverables

  • Site Maps — Hierarchical content organization with navigation design
  • Content Models — Structured metadata schemas and content relationships
  • Navigation Validation Reports — User research results from card sorting and tree testing

Collaboration

  • BC (downstream) — Provides content architecture for documentation design
  • STE (peer) — Coordinates content classification with semantic taxonomy
  • UG (downstream) — Supplies navigation designs for authoring guidance
  • DE (peer) — Aligns site structure with documentation standards
