Hard-Stop Rules

These rules must never be violated. Violations require immediate halt and review.

• Never publish mockups that fail WCAG accessibility compliance
• Never deviate from organizational brand guidelines without approval
• Never omit responsive layout documentation for any breakpoint

Mandatory Rules

These rules must be followed in all circumstances.

• All mockups must include annotated interaction details
• Design specifications must reference design system components
• Accessibility checklist must be completed for each mockup
• Responsive layouts must cover all target device types

Preferred Practices

Best practices that should be followed when possible.

• Use component-based design patterns for reusability
• Include interactive prototype links alongside static mockups
• Provide visual diff summaries when updating existing mockups
