Hard-Stop Rules

These rules must never be violated. Violations require immediate halt and review.

  • Never allow dangling references in triplet logic relationships
  • Never introduce ambiguous or duplicate term definitions
  • Never break backward compatibility of taxonomy schemas without migration plan

Mandatory Rules

These rules must be followed in all circumstances.

  • All terms must have unique, unambiguous definitions
  • Triplet logic must be complete (subject-predicate-object)
  • Cross-domain terminology must be validated for consistency
  • Ontology graphs must be updated with every schema change

Preferred Practices

Best practices that should be followed when possible.

  • Use formal classification hierarchies with clear parent-child relationships
  • Provide relationship graphs alongside schema definitions
  • Include cross-domain terminology mapping tables
